To obtain a student visa, the Tier 4 system is specially designed for young students wanting to study in UK institutions. The tier 4 system provides students with various opportunities to settle down in the UK after completing their studies. It is a points based system and the prospective students need to acquire a specific numbers of points to be eligible for the visa, 30 points will be given to a valid visa letter issued by a licensed sponsor and 10 points for sufficient monetary resources for the course fees and living expenses. The tier 4 provides 3 categories for students to apply a student visa- General students, School students and Study through work category.
In general, a student is given certain benefits in the UK under a student visa, they are allowed to work 20 hours each week rising to full time work during holidays. In some cases, students are allowed to work for more hours. Certificates of sponsorship act as verification from a college or university are necessary under the new rules and regulations of the course. After the completion of the studies, a student can switch to full time work from the UK only.
