The spouse visa for Canada is meant for those applicants who wish to join their spouse living in Canada. This type of a visa allows married applicants to be sponsored by their spouse living in Canada as permanent residents or citizens. The relationship between the married couple as a sponsorer and an applicant must be genuine and they must show the intentions of continuing their relationship and must intend to live together in Canada after arrival. In Canada, immigration is permitted for the spouse, common-law or conjugal partner of a permanent Canadian resident through a system of sponsorship.
