This visa is meant for those applicants who wish to immigrate to Australia and who are the last remaining relative of the sponsorer living in the country. The applicant must not have any close family ties living in their home country or other countries outside Australia. The type of the visa granted under this category is a permanent residence visa. The only eligibility criteria for this visa is that the applicant should not have any close family ties outside Australia and they should be associated to the sponsorer on a close bond- such as a brother, sister, child, parent or equivalent. The sponsorer must be a permanent resident or a citizen of Australia. The applicant must also be over 18 years of age.
