Applying under this visa category provides a route to permanent settlement in Canada and enables the applicants to use the status of permanent residents. If given the permanent resident status, all candidates receives the same rights and privileges as Canadian citizens.
There are various requirements and eligibilities that a candidate has to meet to be able to apply for this visa. Unlike the other two visa categories, in this visa category, the applicant does not need to show any minimum net worth for the establishment of businesses in Canadian provinces. However there are certain need and requirement that one has to meet which includes that you should demonstrate sufficient capital to settle yourself & your family and to carry out the work successfully in Canada. The issuance of this visa also depends on the person’s ability to own some property in Canada and manage or contribute in any cultural activities hence enabling the growth of the province in Canada.
A candidate can not apply for more than one business visa type to Canada and neither can switch later to another category. Since it is a points based assessment, an applicant need to pass certain specific number of points to be able to be eligible for this visa. The assessment is based on the candidate’s business experiences, educational achievements, age of the applicant, language proficiency in Canadian working languages and should score atleast 35 points in the assessment test. Extra points are given if the candidate shows that he/she can adapt to life in Canada immediately which relates to prior engagement in Canadian life. This visa also permits you to bring your spouse or dependents along and accompany you while your stay in Canada.
